This is vintage Japanese creative folklore craft wooden hand painted Kokeshi doll from 1950s. This Kokeshi is made from Naruko onsen, which use the method of fitting the head part into the body part, are sometimes characterised by a squeaky sound when the neck id turned. Very rare.
