Vintage Indigo Dyed Ikat Hand Stitched Sashiko Boro Coat
This is an amazing Boro antique coat. It has many layers with sashiko hand stitched all over. The outer is very rare patterned Ikat and the lining in the hand woven striped cotton fabric. The diversity of the patch work is really beautiful and unique. The condition is very good given the age, and is a fantastic example of the Art of Boro. This is over 100 years old and is a collectors piece.
This Boro coat can be worn with the lining on the outside for a different and dramatic look.
This is 1900s vintage therefore the condition is what you would expect for a vintage garment.
